This was a slow degredation and seems to be possibly like a corruption within the OS file system. It's possible that there's a hardware issue as the other commenter noted, but resulting in issues like this.I'm not so sure. You get a lot of capable users here, too, but XDA will be more acutely beneficial for this type of item. I'd recommend heading to the developer forums on XDA and seeing if anyone there can help. The permission denied item might be due to encryption, and you likely need a way around that before you can go forward. You may need to try downloading platform tools and seeing if you can rebuild some of the repos manually. I was following tutorials to flash factory image but it states i need to get back into Android to enable USB debugging? Any tips on how to resolve? Including trying to load into rescue mode. Rebooting no longer loads android, just straight back into boot loader. Failed to format /metadata: permission denied/ Failed to mount /metadata: formatting: I/O error. Upon triyng to get to factory reset i would get a number of errors. Eventually power off worked and i managed to get into boot loader. When i'd select power off phone, it would just reset. After multiple attempts i managed to hit the factory reset but it would just reboot the phone. If i was quick, i could load the settings app and reach the factory reset screen, but when it'd ask me for my pin the keyboard app must have crashed and wouldn't load. I kept trying to restart the phone and kept getting the same issue Every app would immediately, and continuously crash. Twitter immediately crashed and then rebooted my phone.
